The Parks and Recreation office is housed in this barn. Attached is the barn shelter, one area that can be reserved for use by small groups. Restrooms in the barn are accessible from the outside.

The Lakeside Pavilion is a stone shelter with a wonderful view of the covered bridge and surrounding park landscape. Adjacent to the 2.1 acre pond stocked with bass, bluegill and sunfish, the location is perfect for a family picnic or group outing.

The Pine Pavilion is centrally located and within close proximity to playgrounds and other recreational features including volleyball and basketball courts, and the skating course.

The covered bridge is suspended over The Homestead's pond. It can be reserved for ceremonies and also is a favorite backdrop for photographs.

Home to our annual summer entertainment series, the amphitheatre's stage is also the location of a granite monument on which are engraved images depicting the park's history.

For a shady resting place while the kids are fishing, or as a sheltered place from which to enjoy all the sights and sounds in and around the pond, our gazebo can't be beat.

Designed to resemble a train station and loading platform, Norwich Junction provides easy access to the Heritage Rail-Trail and The Homestead's walking path. A vending area and restrooms are located here. A restored Conrail caboose is nearby.

An element of the railroad themed park, Bradley Station provides a resting place for those using the Rail-Trail or walking path. Bradley Station's design is based on a rail stop which was once located along the railroad in Brown Township.

A variety of annuals, perennials, and native tree species make up The Homestead landscape, providing educational opportunities for visitors and habitat for resident wildlife.

Homestead Gardens

Three playground areas offer fun for children of all ages. Fort Washington waterpark and Toddler Farm are summer favorites when temperatures are high. There are conventional and handicapped- accessible playgrounds too so children of all abilities can have fun.
