Located just northwest of the state capital of Columbus, Ohio, Washington Township is an ideal area for citizens who want suburban living with quick access to a metropolitan lifestyle and conveniences.
The only township in Ohio to include portions of three counties - Delaware, Franklin, and Union - Washington Township encompasses approximately 26 square miles. The largest incorporated region within the Township's boundaries is the City of Dublin, with a population of 41,751 (2010 U.S. Census) and a daytime population of approximately 60,000. The estimated population of the Township's unincorporated region is 1,500.
The City of Dublin was named in 2010 as one of only two U.S. cities among the world's top seven smartest communities. Dublin is headquarters to Fortune 500 companies Cardinal Health and Wendy's International. Dublin also is home to Jack Nicklaus' Memorial Tournament and the internationally acclaimed Dublin Irish Festival.
Dublin ranked first out of 306 communities in the 2009 independent National Citizen Survey (NCS), when residents were asked to rate their community as a place to live. Dubliners rated their community higher than people from any other surveyed jurisdiction on overall appearance, overall image and reputation and services.
