The rules for the Citizen's Fire Academy are enforced to assure the protection, safety and well being of the participants. Failure to comply with all rules may result in dismissal.

Class Rules

• All classes will start and resume promptly at the designated time; you are expected to be on-time.
• Food and drink items are allowed in the classroom but all waste must be properly discarded in the appropriate receptacles.
• Pagers, cell phones and other electronic devices should be set to vibrate mode or turned off.
• Participants are expected to return the classroom to the condition in which they found it.

Conduct

• All participants are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate and professional manner at all times.

ID's

• Issued ID's are to be worn at all times while enrolled in the academy.

Operations in the Drill Areas

• Horseplay of any kind will not be tolerated.
• Required and appropriate PPE shall be worn at all times when working in the drill area.

Dress Code

• It is the student's responsibility to use good judgment in selecting attire that projects a professional image.
• Acceptable attire for classroom: shirts with collars; slacks, nice jeans, shoes and socks. Optional items include sweaters, sport coats, ties, etc.
• Acceptable attire for graduation: suits; sports coats; dress shirts with ties or class shirts; dress slacks.
• Unacceptable clothing: shorts, sleeveless shirts, T-shirts, ball caps, open-toe sandals, thongs, etc.
