Station 95

Station 95 is located at 5750 Blazer Parkway.

Fire Station 95 is one of very few stations in the United States to be housed inside a water tower. It is located in a primarily-business district. Utilizing this water tower as a fire station demonstrates the Township's commitment to fiscal responsibility, conservative land use, and is a prime example of the Department's continued partnership with the City of Dublin.

Station 95 - Blazer Pkwy

The traditional fire pole has been replaced by a slide at Station 95.

Slide

Each crew of firefighters is on duty for 24 continuous hours. When not answering calls, firefighters spend time doing fire house chores, reviewing training manuals, attending training, flushing or pumping hydrants, preparing meals, or taking a break in this living room.

Living Area

Because they are on duty for 24 hours, crews must be ready at any moment to respond to an emergency, regardless of the time of day or night. Each firefighter has a bunk and locker to use while on duty. Note that the exterior walls in this station are rounded to fit the water tower design.

Dorm

Each day, firefighters shop for groceries, prepare meals, and dine together. Firefighters take turns cooking meals for the entire crew and cleaning the dishes. Some firefighters are well known for their culinary skills.

Kitchen

The stairway leading from the apparatus bay to the firefighters' living quarters contains some decorative artwork. Firefighters are proud of their respective stations and enjoy displaying this pride station wide.

Pride

Firefighting is a physically demanding job. Firefighters must be able to lift and carry heavy loads. Strength training and cardiac conditioning are performed in this weight room.

Weight Room

Engine 95 is parked in the station bay, ready for the next call. When the alarm sounds, firefighters slide down the 45-foot slide from the living quarters above. The firefighters' gear is placed beside the engine so firefighters can access it quickly when they are called.
