Welcome to Washington Township
The township provides services to unincorporated areas and to the City of Dublin. Emergency medical services, fire suppression, fire prevention, and recreation programs are among the services provided directly to all township residents. Road maintenance, planning and zoning services, solid waste collection, snow removal and cemetery maintenance are provided for directly or through outside contracts or cooperative agreements in the unincorporated areas.
A winning combination
With the passing of Central Ohio's predicted last frost date, many of us are eager to chase away the memory of winter by adding some colorful flowers to our landscapes, patios, and outdoor containers. The wide variety of flower colors available makes it easy to get caught in the trap of selecting plants based on color alone. However, it's better to pick plants that thrive under conditions your site can provide. While some plant species may survive in less-than-optimal conditions, flowering and vigor will be compromised.
Before you head to the garden center, take a walk around the spaces you intend to plant and make a mental or physical note of their size and exposure (north-facing, south-facing, shady, sunny etc.). This information will help you or any garden center staff member select plants that are well-suited for the growing condiitons you have. If you want help making plant selections or have questions about what you are purchasing, shop at a garden center that employs staff who are knowledgable about horticulture and offer these services. Not every garden center does. Make your garden great!

Homestead Park water shut off until late summer
Water at the Homestead Park has been shut off to all facilities and water fountains except for toilets in the public restrooms. Homestead's water will remain off until a connection with Columbus City water is made. We estimate this to occur by the end of summer. Until then, hand sanitizer is available in the restrooms and bottled water is available for $1 each in vending machines. Please share this with your friends and family who visit the Homestead.
City of Dublin Residents
City of Dublin residents are also residents of Washington Township. Exercise your resident privileges by taking advantage of the many programs and services available to you. The Fire Department and the Parks & Rec Department offer presentations on a variety of topics for all ages. more>>
